Silent reading

Sitting on the couch reading a book, Greyson lying next to me:

Greyson: "Mom, you're not reading your book. You're just looking at it."
Me: "I'm reading inside my head."
Greyson: "How?"
Me: "I read the words with my eyes, and say it inside my head. You'll understand when you're older and can do it."
Greyson: "But I don't hear you reading."
Me: "You can't because I'm reading in my head."
Greyson: "I could if I opened your mouth and looked in your head."

:)

That boy; he's a thinker.
